Presentation: Open Source Oracle: Tools That Make My Life Easier
Abstract: Most people don’t associate the words open source and Oracle. That time has changed as it is becoming more common for Oracle developers to publish their projects on open source platforms such as GitHub.
This talk will focus on how organizations and Oracle development teams can improve their systems and reduce costs by taking advantage of open source tools for Oracle. It will also cover how they can participate in projects and the advantages of doing so.
Speaker: Martin Giffy D’Souza
- Martin Giffy D’Souza is a senior consultant at Insum Solutions. He is also a volunteer director for ODTUG and founder of OraOpenSource. Martin’s career has spanned a range of positions within award-winning companies. His experience in the technology industry has been focused on developing database-centric web applications using the Oracle technology stack. Martin is the author of the popular blog TalkApex.com and a designated Oracle ACE Director. He has co-authored and authored various APEX books and is an active participant in various open-source projects, such as Logger. Martin has also presented at numerous international conferences, such as APEXposed!, COUG, Oracle OpenWorld, and Kscope.
