  • Steve Recsky has been working with Oracle Database products for the past 25 years and with Microsoft SQL Server products for the past 11 years. Steve held the position of Database Technical Specialist with DBCORP and CGI for 10 years and has owned and operated Complete DBA Inc. for the past 6 years. He co-founded First4 Database Partners Inc. with members of the original DBCORP team
  • Steve has excelled in all areas of database management including training, mentoring, development, backup & recovery, performance tuning, security, installation and configuration, object management and resource management
  • He has presented at numerous national, international and local database venues including CIPS, Oracle World and the Independent Oracle Users Group

Presentation: Oracle Database Refreshes

Steve presents an open discussion about the challenges of Oracle Database Refreshes and what precautions should be taken.

  • One of the more mundane tasks that a DBA is requested to do is database refreshes. This is the act of copying either the entire database or part of the database from one environment to another
  • Typically, this is done for development and/or testing outside of the production realm so as to work with production-like data
  • This session will be an open discussion about the challenges in this area and what precautions should be taken
